Mine Overseer

This is a 2.14.1 and a 2.13.12 appointment in terms of the MHS Act, where you’ll ensure that a dedicated section of the operational process operates effectively from a current and future best practice perspective. How? By managing and planning for the development and provision of mining work practices, structures and services.

So, you’ll need a Mining degree or diploma, a Mine Overseer’s Certificate for Scheduled Mines and at least 5 years’ mining experience in metalliferous mines, plus a valid Blasting Certificate. Basic computer literacy and a Certificate of Fitness are also required.

Your functions will include negotiating with the Engineering Department to source and supply determined material to operations. The end result? Quality ore to the ore pass. Ref: 677529
