Shared Technologies, a division of the Quality and IT Department, has these vacancies available.

Quality Specialist:Telecommunications

This role supports strategic initiatives to ensure only purpose-fi t products are delivered to the client, by
acting professionally and across team boundaries.

Critical performance areas: ● Ensure effective, quality contract management ● Review supplier status and
evaluation for registration ● Conduct supplier surveillance regarding development/production/maintenance
● Develop and uplift suppliers ● Assist team members and share expertise during development ● Provide
inputs to support department operational requirements with regards to budget, the Contracts and Order
Administration System, reports, corrective actions, etc ● Interface and liaise with internal and external
clients ● Identify and assist with GQA initiatives ● Release/accept products on behalf of the client.
An S4 Electronics or BEng/BSc Eng in Electronics or equivalent NQF level 6 qualifi cation, with 10-12
years in telecommunications (eg radio frequency, satellite communication and secure communication)
and 5 years in quality management, is the minimum requirement. Experience in Software Development
Lifecycle (SDLC), Radar and EW Systems will be an added advantage. Candidates must be resilient,
assertive team players with good interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems. Analytical thinking
is also important.
