Job Description


Assmang Ltd has these vacancies at their Black Rock Mining operation, situated 80km
northwest of Kuruman in the Northern Cape: MANGANESE BLACK ROCK MINE OPERATIONS

Shift Boss (Training)

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Adhering
to SHERQ * Training and developing the Production Crew-in-Training * Training Shift
Bosses * Exercising control over the Training Team and the Production Crew-in-Training
* Controlling machinery/equipment l Exercising control over his/her area of responsibility
* Ensuring safe production * Loading and hauling * Planning daily tasks and production
targets * Daily reporting to the Mine Overseer: Training * Performing any ad hoc or
reasonable duties, as requested.

Minimum qualifications: * Grade 10/Std 8 Certificate * A Blasting Certificate for
Scheduled Mines * A Train-the-Trainer certificate.

Experience and requirements: * 3-5 years’ experience in a production area * A valid
Code B/EB driver’s licence.

The successful candidates will be appointed on the condition of being certified
medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act, 29/1996. Preference will be given
to applicants from previously disadvantaged groups to support the company’s
employment equity plan.
Appointment: Remuneration will be based on a competitive, all-inclusive, flexible
package.
