Broadband Infraco is a State-led intervention to rapidly normalise effi ciency in the telecoms market by commoditising only those parts of infrastructure that impede private sector development and innovation in telecoms service and content offerings. With this groundbreaking development comes the need to identify enthusiastic South Africans with the appropriate skills, qualifications and experience who wish to form part of this intitiative.

PROJECT MANAGERS (2 POSTS)

Key outputs: Accountable to the Capital Programme Executi ve, you will provide project management services on selected initi ati ves, from handling the pre-feasibility phase through executi on, commissioning and post-implementati on soluti on tracking. This includes, amongst others, the formati on of implementation strategies, scheduling of multi ple projects, resource management (specifi cally contract management) and cost control.

Qualifications and experience: A recognised terti ary qualification in Project Management will be vital, together with some 3-5 years’ telecoms and project management experience. The proven ability to manage fibre-optic and site constructi on contracts is essential.
