Cape Gate (Pty) Limited, one of South Africa’s foremost producers of steel, wire and wire products, has a career opportunity at our Vanderbijlpark factory for a dynamic:

Meltshop Manager

The incumbent will be responsible for the overall tactical and operational management of the Meltshop environment in Davsteel.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering
• At least 6 years’ experience in an Electric Arc Furnace steel-making environment
• Well developed planning, organising, interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to function independently and display high levels of self-motivation and responsibility
  
• Uncompromising standards of excellence, sound judgement and integrity
  
• Financial/cost control skills.
