Your role? To take responsibility for the financial management of the Materials Handling Business Unit in Bedfordview. This will entail the accurate reporting of business results, including the financial status on all projects, as well as the control of debtors and creditors to optimise cash flow and the development of systems and procedures to ensure the smooth and responsible operation of the Business Unit within the overall Sandvik Corporate Governance Model.

Requirements? To qualify for this opportunity, you must be a Chartered Accountant and/or hold an Honours degree in Management Accounting/Financial Management. A minimum of 5 years’ middle management experience is a must, while a qualification in Cost Engineering and/or Market Analysis will be an advantage. Computer literacy is of the essence, including experience in the use of the Microsoft Office software packages (with definite proficiency in Excel), as well as in-depth knowledge of and experience in working with Pastel. Experience with Pastel Evolution will be a definite advantage.
