Senior Manager: Property Research and State Land Administration Supp ort
Salary: R652 572 per annum (all-inclusive package to be structured in accordance with the rules for SMS) (Level 13) (Ref. S8/3/2010/547)
Requirements:
- Post-Matric qualification in Surveying or Town/Regional Planning/Geography or Law/Property Management
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a Property Management or Land Administration environment
- Knowledge of and experience in legislation governing public land administration
- Computer literacy
- Skills in networking, project management, budget forecasting and resource planning, problem-solving and decision-making
- Valid driver’s licence.
Duties:
- Provide a framework for the design and implementation of Land Use Investigations on State land under the custody of the Department
- Provide property research that adds value to the Asset Register and general land administration support functions
- Safeguard the title deeds of the Department
- Manage the development of training material and the provision of training in land administration
- Co-ordinate the surveying of State land
- Provide Provincial State Land Disposal Committee (PSLDC) support
- Prepare and maintain a Custodian Immovable Asset Management Plan in accordance with the Government Immovable Asset Management Act, 2007 (Act No 19 of 2007)
- Develop and review Land Administration policies and procedures or guidelines
- Provide an efficient and reliable legal support function on Land Administration
- Assume all other ancillary management responsibilities applicable to a senior management position.
Note: Appointment is subject to a positive security clearance and the signing of a performance agreement.
