Applications are invited from suitably qualified, visionary leaders for the vacant position of CEO, based in Pretoria. The purpose of this role will be to provide leadership to the corporation at the forefront of the national strategic defence acquisition and support services. He/she will develop a tactical plan to advance the Company’s Mission, Vision and Objectives, as well as execute its mandatory role as prescribed by legislation.

The incumbent will ensure that the corporation effectively, efficiently and economically meets the defence matériel requirements of the Department, as well as the defence technology, research, development, analysis, test and evaluation requirements. He/she will oversee company operations to ensure service delivery, efficiency, quality and costeffective management of resources, while adhering to accepted corporate governance principles and best business practices.

A strong political and business awareness will be essential, as the incumbent must be able to confidently interact with high-ranking Parliamentary and Government officials, the Ministry of Defence, military officers and representatives, clients and other relevant stakeholders. Our ideal candidate is a person of influence boasting excellent communication skills and showing the expertise to bring about transformation that will drive and support local defence-related industries. Social Science/Technical/Engineering or equivalent qualifications will be imperative for success, whilst an appropriate postgraduate academic background will be advantageous.
