Instrumentation Engineer (DL)
Responsibilities: In this role, you will facilitate optimal engineering decision-making within the business, ensuring the strategic alignment and focus of the Smelter Instrumentation Department. Furthermore, you will ensure the establishment, effective utilisation and ongoing improvement of appropriate technical, SHEQ and management functions with regards to policies, procedures, systems and practices. Further responsibilities include managing budget and cost, researching and implementing process improvement, as well as facilitating maintenance strategies. Managing, coaching and training subordinates will also fall to you.
Requirements: In order to be considered, you must hold a degree and/or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or Process Instrumentation, as well as 8 years’ Instrumentation experience, preferably with 4 years’ supervisory experience. Also of the essence is at least 4 years’ experience in PLC Network faultfi nding and programming; control systems and SCADAS; Siemens S5, S7 and PCS7; Citect and Win CC.
