Great Basin Gold is an international company, listed on the TSX, AMEX and JSE Exchanges, with mines currently being established in South Africa and North America. We are a
dynamic young company, focused on building a diversified asset base. The advertised positions are for the
Burnstone Mine, situated 80km south of Johannesburg, close to the town of Balfour. Burnstone Mine will be built
on modern infrastructure to service mining activities, using specialised equipment and technology to enhance safe production over the life of the mine (which will exceed 19 years as part of Phase 1 of the project). Metallurgical Plant Boilermaker
Artisans with an N3 qualification, Boilermaking Trade Certificate and three years’
experience in a gold plant environment are invited to apply. Good communicators and
team players that are willing and able to work closely with production will be ideal. The
role demands the ability to work under pressure and overtime, when required.
In this role, the successful candidate will maintain the plant by repairing equipment, using
various hand tools. He/she will perform welding tasks as and where necessary or
requested and install new pipelines and other equipment as required.
