Burnstone Mine, situated 80km south of Johannesburg, close to the town of Balfour. Burnstone Mine will be built
on modern infrastructure to service mining activities, using specialised equipment and technology to enhance safe production over the life of the mine (which will exceed 19 years as part of Phase 1 of the project). Remuneration will be competitive and future increases will be performance-based.

Maintenance Superintendent (Engineer)

As minimum, candidates must be in possession of a Mechanical Engineering degree or
diploma, with extensive experience in managing engineering teams, as well as in the
maintenance and management of fixed plant within the mining industry. Well-developed
written and verbal communication skills in English and demonstrated leadership ability at
a remote site and/or developing country are prerequisites. A Government Certificate of
Competency (Mines and Works) is also essential.
In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for risk management, team and
contractor management and technical support. In addition, he/she will control the output
and quality of work of subordinates and take charge of cost control and budget
preparations.
