Commodity Specialist (Forward Pricing Agreements Specialist)
Based in Johannesburg, we seek to appoint a Forward Pricing Agreement Specialist in our centralised Supply Chain Department. The successful candidate will liaise with sites and act on their requirements. Furthermore, he/she will facilitate discussions to establish FPA requirements, issue RFPs (Request for Proposal) to suppliers/the market and evaluate tenders based on certain guidelines. Performing tender analysis and considering all aspects of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
Model when awarding contract will also fall to the appointee.
Here the successful candidate needs a relevant degree or diploma and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the mining industry will be advantageousBarrick is a leading international gold mining company, with a portfolio of 27 operating mines and seven advanced exploration and development projects, located across five
