Business Support Analyst

Barrick seeks to appoint a Business Support Analyst on a 1-year fixed-term (project-based) contract. The incumbent will be responsible for SSIS reporting services within the SQL service to create reports and improve reporting functions. Performing scheduled daily, weekly and monthly support tasks, troubleshooting database issues, when required, as well as backing up, restoring and running maintenance jobs for SQL on a regular basis will also form part of the incumbent’s
duties.

To be successful, applicants need a 3-year tertiary qualification or relevant IT qualification with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior application support role. Knowledge of SQL replication/MySql and the disciplines in an application support environment is essential, as is extensive problem-solving exposure at application support level. Acquire/Pronto/Oracle DB skills will be advantageous.
