Regional Health and Safety Manager (Mining)

Based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg this position is required to provide leadership and technical support to the different mining operations in Tanzania. In this role, the incumbent will need to ensure the optimum health of all employees and contractors working within this region. Managing the activities of the health and safety function within the region and ensuring agreed targets are achieved, within the corporate health and safety guidelines will also fall to the incumbent.

A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and experience in mining operations and minerals processing in a developing country environment are required. A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience with at least 10 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a mining or minerals processing environment with exposure to open-pit mining, underground mining and mineral processing plants, is essential.
