Xstrata SA (Pty) Ltd Alloys, Rustenburg Works, a ferro-alloy plant situated in the industrial area of Rustenburg, currently has the following opportunities for dynamic individuals to join its operation:

Engineering Manager
Management Department

Responsibilities: In this role the incumbent will oversee the installation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the work area, ensure the maintenance plan is in line with requirements and assist with project development and implementation. He/she will further ensure that inspections and use of hazardous machinery and equipment comply with legal and site requirements and that the Engineering team has the required resources to maintain the area. Providing input to annual budgets and setting expenditure requirements will also form part of the successful candidate’s duties.

Requirements: To be successful, candidates need a diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, a  Government Certificate of Competency in Factories and ±5 years’ experience in a managerial field. Previous experience on SAP will be advantageous, whilst good interpersonal communication skills and good knowledge of the SD system are essential. He/she must be highly computer literate and medically fit. (Ref. 64235/1)
